Making a Move? Then Expect the Unexpected
December 2003

In the last year, your friends at Grow Sales, Inc. have seen a fair amount of growth. We’ve added two employees, both of whom bring exciting new skills to our customers. With a need for a little more elbow room, we have also moved into a new office, which brought plenty of excitement - both welcome and unwelcome. Highlights included tracking down missing pieces to our “assemble-it-yourself” furniture, and a computer networking expert who failed to show up one morning after spending the previous night in jail. Despite the headaches, we were fully operational after only a couple days.

What We’ve Learned
Undertaking a move - even for a small company with a handful of employees - can be more of a hassle than you think. Here are lessons learned from the experience that are valuable in all facets of business:

Have Patience and a Sense of Humor: Things go awry all the time in the graphic arts industry. Handling issues with patience will give you the best chance of arriving at the best solutions to any problems.

Do What You Do Best and Outsource the Rest: Marketing, public relations, and web and graphics design are what we do best. We aren’t experts at moving or assembling furniture. Be honest with yourself about the strengths and weaknesses of your company, and let other experts handle the rest.

Please Make Note of Our New Address:
