Show Your Customers Some Love

Show Your Customers Some Love
Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but showing affection for your customers should never end. With everybody in a loving mood, make this “Hallmark Holiday” an ideal jumping-off point for a series of customer appreciation activities. Here are a few we suggest:
Follow-Up Key Projects With a Phone Call
The majority of communication that occurs between your company and your customers involves the exchange of specific project details and similar information. Imagine your customers’ pleasant surprise when they receive a call from you asking simply, “How did we do?”
This type of follow-up phone call should be made a regular part of your routine for new customers and for existing customers at least once a year. It serves as a gesture of thanks as well as an opportunity to receive honest, useful feedback when your level of service is still fresh in your customers’ minds.
Send Handwritten “Thank You” Notes
Sales executives, managers and owners should keep a stack of thank-you cards at the ready. Any time you or your company receives a referral, a big project, an “attaboy” from a customer, or any other milestone, grab a card and scratch out a quick note – hand-written and signed, of course.
The few minutes spent to create such a personal touch will do wonders for your company’s image in the eyes of customers and prospects.
Host a Customer Appreciation Workshop
Show your appreciation in person by inviting customers and prospects to your facility. To ensure a healthy response, send invitations at least six weeks in advance of the event and revolve it around breakfast, lunch or evening snacks.
Don’t let attendees off easy – while you’re thanking them, teach them! Plan an educational workshop that offers valuable tips and tricks from every corner of your operations. Your company’s name will be indelibly linked in the minds of customers and prospects with expert-level knowledge and trustworthy service.
