WRITER – Available in Rockville, Maryland

Overview
Grow Sales, Inc. is a niche marketing and public relations consulting company serving clients in the graphic arts industry. We are currently seeking a hard-working, personable Writer with two-to-six years of appropriate business writing experience.

Our writers are expected to fully understand each of our client's core capabilities and explain their unique selling propositions. Once this is accomplished, we package the most salient information in a compelling way. As a writer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating a variety of marketing communications for our clients, including articles for publication in trade journals, monthly e-mail blasts, press releases, website copy, print collateral, etc.

Our clients are typically owners and managers of small companies with an average of 20-200 employees. We occasionally work at their places of business, which can be anywhere in the USA. In short, you will be responsible for the conceptualization and execution of written communications for a portion of Grow Sales clients.

Skill Requirements
In addition to having fabulous writing skills, the successful candidate will be energetic, personable and knowledgeable, with a desire to be a key contributor in a fast-paced environment. Business intelligence and the ability to secure the trust of small business owners and top managers is a part of the job. Successful candidates are expected to possess:

•   Two to six years of professional writing and/or marketing experience. A background at a trade journal or marketing agency is ideal preparation for a successful career at Grow Sales.
•   Writing wizardry. You've got to be good. Please don't apply without appropriate core writing skills.
•   A proven ability to learn quickly, work independently and be committed to meeting frequent deadlines.
•   A consistently high energy level, an excellent work ethic and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done to our clients’ satisfaction. 
•   A reasonable mechanical aptitude, since most of our clients are manufacturing companies.
•   Personality and good business judgment - bring your motivation, upbeat attitude and sense of humor!
•   Pinpoint attention to detail.
•   Experience with image editing and page layout applications.
•   Four-year degree in a related discipline such as English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
•   Graphic arts industry knowledge and experience is preferred.
•   A nine-to-fiver is not welcome.
•   This position may require light travel.
•   Basic graphic and web design competency would be a plus.

Upon successful completion of the initial interview, a short writing test will be administered.
